Multi-Vehicle Accident Blocks Southbound Lanes on 5 Freeway in Mission Hills
MISSION HILLS, CA (November 7, 2024) – A multi-vehicle accident caused heavy traffic on 5 Freeway, Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on November 6, at about 6:40 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a big rig and at least two more vehicles collided on southbound 5 Freeway near Brand Boulevard.
It was unclear if anyone was injured.
Responders temporarily closed four southbound lanes to make way for clearing operations and an investigation.
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
