Long Beach Motorcycle Crash with Sedan on Spring Street Sends Rider and Passenger to Hospital

 
LONG BEACH, CA (November 26, 2024) – A man and a woman were injured in a motorcycle accident on Spring Street in East Long Beach Sunday evening on November 23.
 
The accident happened around 7:40 p.m. at Charlemagne Avenue. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the man and the woman were riding on the motorcycle westbound on Spring Street when the driver of a sedan made a left turn in front of them.
 
The sedan then crashed into the motorcycle.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the pair to a hospital, where the man underwent surgery for a lower body injury. He was listed in critical condition. The woman to a hospital was treated for minor injuries and had stable vital signs.
 
The man driving the car was not hurt and remained at the scene to cooperate with officers.

Police said impaired driving was not a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
