LOS ANGELES, CA (November 18, 2024) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at 87th Place and Central Avenue.
 
The South Traffic Division detectives would like anyone’s help with this hit-and-run case that left a female pedestrian dead. The fatal accident happened on November 5 around 12:05 a.m. Surveillance video shows a driver heading southbound on Central Avenue and hitting a female pedestrian in a marked crosswalk. Instead of stopping, the driver continued southbound on Central Avenue without calling emergency services.
 
Subsequently, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location, but the woman died at the scene. Officials have not identified her.
