SAN JACINTO, CA (November 1, 2024) — A woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Meridian Street near Beringer Drive.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the hit-and-run pedestrian crash happened around 8:00 a.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of what witnesses believe was a compact box-style SUV struck a female pedestrian crossing Meridian Street. Subsequently, the driver stopped before fleeing southbound on Meridian Street.
 
Fortunately, Good Samaritans came to the woman’s aid who was thrown onto the shoulder of the road. Paramedics took her to a regional trauma center in critical condition.
