2 Hospitalized after Car Accident Involving Deputy Car on Demaree Street [Visalia, CA]

Deputy, Woman Injured after Car Accident on Demaree Street near Riggin Avenue

VISALIA, CA (January 29, 2025) – Two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Demaree Street, early Thursday morning.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on December 27, at about 2:30 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a westbound Nissan collided with a deputy car, hitting the passenger side near Riggin Avenue.

The Nissan came to rest in the intersection, while the deputy’s car ended up in a grassy area of a nearby church.

A deputy and a woman inside the Nissan were later transported to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
