49-Year-Old Carlos Aguilar-Reyes Dies in Bicycle Crash on North Main Street in Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, CA (January 28, 2025) – Authorities identified 49-year-old Carlos Aguilar-Reyes of Oakland as the bicyclist killed in an accident on North Main Street, early Wednesday morning.

According to the Walnut Creek Police Department, the incident happened on January 22, at about 5:45 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a bicycle and a vehicle collided in the 1800 block of North Main Street, near Target.

Emergency crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help his family with funeral costs and unexpected expenses.

As per reports, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.

Walnut Creek police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
