Driver and Passenger Die after Colliding with Another Car on Willow Glen Drive in Jamacha Area
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 11, 2025) – Michael Droegemeier and Lowell McCrea were killed in a two-vehicle accident in the Jamacha area of San Diego on Friday evening.
The fatal crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. on February 7. According to the CHP, Droegemeier was driving a vehicle when he collided with at least one other car in the 3600 block of Willow Glen Drive.
The impact of the crash caused Droegemeier fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 48 years old, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
McCrea, a 32-year-old El Cajon resident, was a passenger in Droegemeier’s car. Paramedics rushed him to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where he also succumbed to his injuries.
It was unknown if drugs or alcohol was a fator in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
