Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Rollover Accident on Highway 65 at Dairy Road [Wheatland, CA]

Pickup Truck Rolls Over on Highway 65 in Wheatland Killing the Driver and Injuring the Passenger

 
WHEATLAND, CA (March 2, 2025) – A driver died and a passenger was injured in a rollover accident on Highway 65 in the Wheatland area of Yuba County Thursday afternoon on February 27.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:15 p.m. near Dairy Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a reddish-orange Toyota Tacoma was traveling on the highway when it veered into the right shoulder. It then overturned several times and landed on its roof.
 
As a result, the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The Yuba County Coroner’s Office withheld the driver’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
The passenger was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
It was unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
