Bruce Dilworth Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on 101 Freeway near Whittier Boulevard
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (February 25, 2021) — Bruce Dilworth died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on the 101 Freeway near Whittier Boulevard Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, police received a call around 6:45 a.m. Upon responding to the scene, officers found a man lying on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Per the coroner’s office, officials identified the victim as 65-year-old Bruce Dilworth.
Inferring from evidence, police say a vehicle heading northbound struck Dilworth. Shortly after, the driver fled the scene, leaving detectives seeking the person’s whereabouts.
