Rider Dies after Colliding with Another Vehicle on Cathedral Oaks Road in Goleta

 
GOLETA, CA (August 18, 2021) – A motorcyclist died in a traffic accident on Cathedral Oaks Road in Goleta Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on August 17, just west of Los Carneros Road. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a motorcycle and another vehicle collided for unknown reasons.
 
The impact caused the male rider fatal injuries and he died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
The road was closed in the area during the investigation.
 
At this time, is unclear if speed, drugs or alcohol were involved.
