2 Injured in Food Truck Crash on Highway 166
SANTA MARIA, CA (October 7, 2021) — Two people suffered injuries in a food truck accident on highway 166 near Ray Road.
According to a Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson, the accident happened around 8:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, two food trucks collided in a head-on fashion. As a result of the impact, one truck overturned onto its side on the road, rested against a telephone pole, while the other one crashed into a ditch.
Shortly after, paramedics responded and transported a 27-year-old man to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. Another patient also needed care for minor injuries.
At this time, authorities have no information on what drove the accident. Although, those with information should call the California Highway Patrol.
