Pedestrian Accident on El Cajon Boulevard in La Mesa Leaves Elderly Man with Several Broken Bones
LA MESA, CA (October 10, 2021) – A 70-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on El Cajon Boulevard in La Mesa Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. on October 6, near 73rd Street. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was walking across El Cajon Boulevard, against a red do-not-cross sign when a 28-year-old female driver made a left turn on a green arrow and struck him.
As a result, the elderly man suffered several broken bones in his left arm and leg. Paramedics took him to a hospital for proper treatment.
It is unknown if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. An investigation is still investigation.
