Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Accident at Carson Street and Ostrom Avenue [Lakewood, CA]

Taffic Accident on Carson Street in Lakewood Leaves Motorcyclist Dead

 
LAKEWOOD, CA (July 21, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident at Carson Street and Ostrom Avenue on June 4.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:10 p.m. on the border of Long Beach and Lakewood. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the victim was riding a 2022 Yamaha motorcycle west on Carson Street behind another vehicle. As the motorcyclist changed lanes, a 2007 Ford Edge was making a left turn onto Carson Street.
 
The motorcycle collided with the Ford, causing the rider critical injuries.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, the motorcyclist was declared dead on July 12. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office was working to identify victim.
 
It was unclear if there were any other injuries, or if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
