Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Cajalco Road in Mead Valley

 
MEAD VALLEY, CA (August 2, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Cajalco Road near Patterson Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian crash happened around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday.
 
For an unknown reason, a driver struck a man walking on Cajalco Road. Minutes later, Riverside County Fire Department paramedics responded to the 23300 block of Cajalco Road to assist the victim. However, the man passed away at the scene. Officials have not released his name.
 
After the accident, CHP officers questioned the driver, but no arrests were made.
 
Due to the crash, authorities closed Cajalco Road to investigate.
