Pedro Vallejo Hurt, Horse Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle on Alondra Boulevard near Oleander Avenue

 
COMPTON, CA (August 13, 2024) — Pedro Vallejo suffered injuries, and his horse died after a car struck them on Alondra Boulevard near Oleander Avenue.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened Thursday evening in a Compton neighborhood. A few teenagers, including Vallejo, were riding their horses along Alondra Boulevard when a driver struck them from behind, seriously injuring Vallejo’s horse, four-year-old Everucho.
 
At least two teens suffered recoverable injuries. However, Everucho did not make it and passed away the next day.
 
As for the driver, he tried to flee the scene, but bystanders blocked his car from leaving until police arrived. Authorities did not say if he is facing any charges.
