Woman Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run on Federal Boulevard [San Diego, CA]

57-Year-Old Woman in Critical Condition after Hit-and-Run on Federal Boulevard in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 1, 2024) – A 57-year-old pedestrian sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Federal Boulevard, Thursday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened on August 29, at about 6:00 a.m. A woman reportedly attempted to cross in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck her near Euclid Avenue.
 
Emergency crews rushed the victim to a trauma center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, including a brain bleed and a pelvic failure.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle immediately left the area and failed to render aid.
 
A description of the suspect vehicle was not immediately released
 
San Diego police continue to investigate the incident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
