Jessica Ferrino Dies, Raymundo Rangel Detained in DUI Pedestrian Crash on Wagner Avenue at Rio Vista Street

 
ANAHEIM, CA (October 11, 2024) — Jessica Ferrino died in a DUI pedestrian accident on Wagner Street and Rio Vista Street.
 
According to the Anaheim Police Department, the deadly pedestrian accident happened Tuesday around 6:30 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 33-year-old Raymundo Rangel lost control as he attempted to make a 90-degree turn at Wagner Avenue and Rio Vista Street.
 
Subsequently, he lost control while traveling at speeds higher than the 40 mph speed limit and struck 49-year-old Ferrino on Cove Trail. Subsequently, the vehicle barreled into the Santa Ana Riverbed.
 
Soon after, authorities responded to the scene and arrested Rangel, booking him on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
