Pedestrian Struck Dead by Car at Vista Way in Vista
VISTA, CA (October 25, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident at Vista Way and Townsite Drive.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:13 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a woman in her 30s driving a 2024 Dodge Ram 1500 struck a man in his 60s walking in a crosswalk.
Shortly after, paramedics responded and administered life-saving efforts. However, the victim passed away at the scene. After the crash, the female driver stayed and cooperated with investigators. Authorities learned that alcohol did not factor into the accident, but the Vista Traffic Division is overseeing the possibilities of this crash.
