Alexandra Diehl Booked in Deadly Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Northcrest Drive near Madison Avenue

 
DEL NORTE COUNTY, CA (December 6, 2024) — Alexandra Diehl faces hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter charges in a deadly pedestrian accident on Northcrest Drive near Madison Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened on Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a 2019 Nissan Rogue, driven by Diehl, struck a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, Diehl left the scene before a northbound Toyota 4Runner struck the victim’s metal shopping cart. From there, a white Kia driver attempting to dodge the pedestrian on the road hit the victim. Fortunately, that driver stopped and waited for the police.
 
After the crash, paramedics brought the victim to Sutter Coast Hospital in critical condition. However, he died from his injuries just after 9:00 p.m.
 
Sometime after the crash, law enforcement found the Nissan Rogue and took Diehl into custody on charges of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. If anyone can help traffic investigators with this case, call the Crescent City CHP office at (707) 218-2000.
