Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Bonita Avenue in La Verne

 
LA VERNE, CA (December 10, 2024) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Bonita Avenue and Damien Avenue in La Verne on Sunday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:55 p.m. on December 8. According to the La Verne Police Department, the male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
 
First responders found the man suffering from severe injuries. They rushed him to a hospital, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this time. Further investigation is underway.
