87-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Unknown Number of Vehicles iin Torrance

 
TORRANCE, CA (December 10, 2024) – Ui Soh was killed in a pedestrian accident in Torrance Sunday evening on December 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:15 p.m. on 405 Freeway at Redondo Beach Boulevard. According to the CHP, Soh was struck by unknown number of vehicles along the southbound lanes of the freeway.
 
The impact caused him fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 87 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
Crews shut down all southbound freeway lanes while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
