Pedestrian Dies Early Morning after Struck by Car on 5 Freeway in Natomas
NATOMAS, CA (December 30, 2024)– A woman was hit and killed by a car on 5 Freeway in the Natomas area of Sacramento early Friday morning on December 27.
The fatal crash happened around 4:19 a.m. near the Arena Boulevard off-ramp, just north of 80 Freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, the female pedestrian was walking along the northbound 5 Freeway when a vehicle struck her.
After the crash, the driver exited the freeway and called 911.
First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
At this time, the identity of the victim was not immediately available.
The circumstances of this fatality are still under investigation.
