58-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident at Clinton Avenue and Barton Avenue [Fresno County, CA]

Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Truck on Clinton Avenue in Fresno County

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (February 12, 2025) – A 58-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Clinton Avenue and Barton Avenue in Fresno County on Monday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:40 p.m. on February 10. According to the California Highway Patrol, the male pedestrian was crossing the street when he stepped into the path of an oncoming truck.
 
The driver of the truck was unable to stop in time and struck the victim.
 
Paramedics arrived and rushed the man to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The driver of the crash remained on scene and cooperating with officers. They were not suspected of being under the influence.
 
The toxicology results are pending for the pedestrian.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
