Pedestrian Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run Crash in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 20, 2025) – Josh Nichols was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Riverside early Tuesday morning on February 18.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Riverside Drive, just west of Baker Street. According to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Office, a dark-colored vehicle struck Nichols and took off without stopping.
 
When officers arrived, they found Nichols lying face down with fatal injuries. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
Authorities believe the suspect’s car sustained front-end damage from the crash.
 
No further details were released at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
