Kanon Smith Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 16 [Yolo County, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with SUV on Highway 16 in Yolo County

 
YOLO COUNTY, CA (February 20, 2025) – Kanon Smith was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Yolo County community of Esparto early Sunday morning on February 16.
 
The fatal accident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on Highway 16 at Parker Place. According to the California Highway Patrol, Smith was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on the highway behind a Chevrolet SUV when the two vehicles collided.
 
The impact caused Smith fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was 18 years old of Yolo County, according to the Yolo County Coroner’s Office.
 
It was unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a factor at this time. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
