Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Three Cars on Anaheim Street in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, (February 20, 2025) – A man was struck and killed by three cars on Anaheim Street at Roycroft Avenue in Long Beach late Tuesday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:00 p.m. on February 18, just near Recreation Park Golf Course. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the man jumped from the sidewalk and into the street directly in front of a 2021 Volkswagen ID.
 
The driver was unable to stop in time and struck the man.
 
While the man was lying in the street, two other vehicles also hit him.
 
First responders pronounced the man was dead at the scene.
 
All three drivers stayed on scene and cooperated with police.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner withheld the victim’s identity at this time.
 
Police said speed, reckless driving or impaired driving are not possible factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
